September has passed and it comes as no surprise to any mobile app developer that Apple has announced another iPhone. This year’s new model is actually two models: the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus.
The iPhone 6 has increased the standard 4-inch screen to 4.7 inches. The iPhone 6 Plus has a 5.5 inch screen. Both phones feature the new Retina HD display with 32% more pixels than the previous model, the iPhone 5. Because of the increased size of the iPhone 6 Plus, it is considered a “Phablet” and apps shift into the tablet mode when the phone is viewed in the landscape mode.
Both models have upgraded the camera. While the eight megapixels are the same, Apple has made improvements in clarity of images and ability to produce good pictures in low light. Both models feature the Focus Pixel sensor that helps the camera focus faster. In addition, the 6 Plus has Optical Image Stabilisation, which helps remove the blur from movement.
Both models will allow you to take HD video at 60 frames per second. In addition, it will allow better exposure settings, timelapse video and enhanced panorama photos.
Both models will feature better battery life. The iPhone 6 will provide 11 hours of Internet use and the 6 Plus will provide 12 hours, with standtime increasing to 16 days for the 6 Plus from 10 hours on the iPhone 5 and iPhone 6.
Both phones have a new feature called ApplePay which will allow you to tap and pay credit card using Touch ID verification. You will be able to pay credit card at businesses with supported apps with one tap on your Touch ID.
